X-Print is based in Ehrenfeld, Cologne Germany. A start-up company is built on a print-on-demand model and sells t-shirts with creative designs. Sellbery did a short interview with X-print founder on how he grew his company sales by 600% in just one-year using our feed automation tool.

Nino, please, explain briefly to our subscribers what does X-Print do?

Well, X-Print is a simple platform for designers and customers.

Designers reach their audience by placing their designs on our platform and have a variety of products to be printed on, from hoodies to t-shirts and mugs to bags. This brings to customers the great assortment of unique and creative apparel with designs they love. When somebody makes a purchase, we just print that exact item at the own printing house.

In other words, we are a kind of a marketplace, like Amazon, only in a specific printing niche.

What encouraged you to use Sellbery?

We realized that we can’t succeed if we don’t utilize multichannel approach. At the initial stage, we were selling t-shirts only from our website and we wasn’t satisfied with the sales results.

That’s why we decided to explore the possibilities and dive in Amazon at the first stage.

Imagine, when you have hundreds of thousands of different products that are changing in real time, as new designers constantly are uploading new items — it seemed to be impossible mission for us! In this case, how to keep all this stuff updated?

At the beginning, we tried to upload and update our products and serve orders manually on Amazon. It was tedious and too time consuming, the team was unable to keep up with this pace.

When we did the calculations, it became clear that X-Print was suffering huge losses, as the potential of the business remained to be unrealized.

We must had continued going circles until one of our web developers recommended to try Sellbery.

How Sellbery solved the problem?

Sellbery directly connected our Magento platform to Amazon and let us automatically upload new items in real-time, import all orders from Amazon back to our admin panel and sync orders and shipments status every hour.

Now, when new designs are uploaded on the website, they’re automatically placed on our Amazon store. Thus, we decreased the time between a new product launch to its sales to minutes.

We are happy that all our sales channels are at one’s fingertips. We are always in control what’s happening and which products are on fire.

For the year that we use Sellbery, our profits have increased by 600%. Now X-Print is proceeding about 30 000 unique products per day, selling them via Amazon across all Europe.

And finally, what advice would you give to a new business owner or someone thinking about starting in the eCommerce business?

Sell the products in as many different channels as possible while maintaining quality, customer service and profitability. Because sooner or later, selling your products on one sales channel only, will result in flat sales or even a dip in profitability through either competition or lack of new customers.
